∨ ∧ Overview

A city close to nature, blessed with cool summers

Kushiro combines the best of city life with beautiful natural surroundings like nearby Kushiro Marsh, registered under the Ramsar Convention. The conference facilities are located in the heart of the city, with Kushiro Tourism and International Relations Center as the focal point. There are two large city hotels within 250 m of the center, and accommodation for up to 1,500 guests is available within a 500 m radius. The hotels, the lively Kushiro Fisherman’s Wharf Moo and the Suehiro entertainment district contain many restaurants where visitors can enjoy Kushiro’s fabulous seafood and regional specialties. Access to Kushiro is convenient, with the downtown bus terminal having excellent connections to surrounding tourist spots, other major cities within Hokkaido, and the airport.
Kushiro is blessed with a great climate, cool in summer with a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and mostly free of snow in winter, making this a virtually risk-free destination as regards weather.
