Introducing to Facilities

Shukkeien Garden was started construction from 1620 as the garden of a villa belonging to Asano Nagaakira, lord of the Hiroshima Domain. A pond was created in the center, containing more than ten islets large and small. Around its circumference mountains, valleys, bridges, tea cottages and arbors are skilfully arranged, all connected by a path along which one can stroll around the entire garden. The Seifukan near the center of the garden is a tea cottage built in the sukiyazukuri style with a shingled roof, as befits a garden.
