2020.11.06 One Young World Tokyo Caucus sets an example of hybrid events in Japan!

Known as “Young Davos",??One Young World is the world’s largest global gathering of next-generation leaders who work hand in hand to develop solutions to the globe’s most pressing issues.

From October 23rd to 25th, 2020, the BMW Tokyo Bay Showroom opened its doors to the One Young World Tokyo Caucus, an event held in a hybrid manner with 110 onsite attendees and over 3,500 followers through online streaming public viewing, with a total reach of 300,000 people via social media.

The Tokyo Caucus was organized by One Young World Japan ambassadors to empower the voices of young social businesses entrepreneurs passionate about creating a society built around the Sustainability Development Goals. Under the slogan “Building a sustainable future with inclusive leadership", 30 Japan-based speakers came together with overseas participants in the sharing of inspirational practices. The sessions fielded questions from the online audience -from 46 countries- which lead to meaningful discussions on how to call for action.

Towards the end of the event, OYW founder David Jones officially announced that the OYW Global Summit is to take place in May 2022, in Tokyo Japan, with an estimated participation of 2000 representatives from 194 countries.

We will be sharing some behind the scenes comments by the OYWJ ambassadors on the Case Studies page during November. For digest versions of the event sessions to come on a later date, follow the official One Young World website.
