2022.09.05 The 24th World Symposium of the World Federation of Neuroradiological Sciences: SNR (Symposium Neuroradiologicum) XXIV 2030 to be held in Sapporo!

○ The 22nd SNR 2022 (New York, USA, May 13-16, 2022) was held in hybrid form, and the final presentation for the invitation scheduled at the conference was on-demand due to restrictions imposed by the pandemic. "Program Chair", Professor Kosuke Kudo, (Department of Radiology, Graduate School of Medicine, Hokkaido University), and Professor Minako Azuma, (Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, Miyazaki University) played a central role in submitting the (10-minute long) presentation video to the International Headquarters in advance to promote Sapporo. Voters used the video to decide the venue for the symposium in 2030.

〇Team Japan, led by Prof. Kudo and Prof. Azuma, carefully prepared the presentation and it was successful in securing Sapporo, Hokkaido as the venue for the 24th World Neuroradiology Federation Symposium in 2030. In fact, this will be the first time in 36 years that it will be held in Japan. The previous time being the 15th meeting of SNR (Kumamoto, 1994).

○ For this year's bid to attract people to Hokkaido and Sapporo, the Sapporo Convention Bureau and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) supported the organizers as members of Team Japan. Having experienced the COVID-19 pandemic, we all know how valuable it will be to finally meet in person and exchange ideas and knowledge at international congresses. We will prepare for SNR2030 to ensure the safety and security of all those traveling to Sapporo. We look forward to welcoming you to Japan, in 2030!

○ Once every four years, SNR is organized by the World Federation of Neuroradiological Societies. This international symposium is organized by the academic societies within the fields of medicine and neuroradiology.
