2025.09.12 Osaka, JAPAN, Selected to Host the 2027 AMA Global Marketing SIG Conference!

We are delighted to announce that Ibaraki City, Osaka, JAPAN, has been selected as the host city for the 2027 American Marketing Association (AMA) Global Marketing Special Interest Group (GMSIG) Conference.

The conference will be held at Ritsumeikan University’s Osaka Ibaraki Campus (OIC), with the tentative dates set between late May and early June 2027. It is expected to welcome approximately 170 participants in total, including around 150 international attendees.

The AMA GMSIG conference is held annually and is recognized as one of the leading academic gatherings in the field of international marketing. Hosting this prestigious conference in Japan for the first time will significantly contribute to enhancing the international visibility of Japan’s marketing academia.

This achievement was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the local host organizers, Associate Professors Ryuta Ishi and Mai Kikumori, from the College of Business Administration, Ritsumeikan University.

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) supported Ritsumeikan University by providing giveaways to highlight Japan as a destination and offering consulting on strategies to attract and promote the conference.
