2026.02.27 Kyoto Selected to Host the 20th World Congress of Intensive and Critical Care (WCICC2029)!

We are delighted to announce that Kyoto, Japan, has been selected as the host city for the 20th World Congress of Intensive and Critical Care (WCICC2029).

WCICC2029 will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2029, at the Kyoto International Conference Center and The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike. The conference is expected to welcome approximately 1,000 participants, including 600 international attendees.

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) supported the Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine’s efforts to bring this conference to Japan by assisting with the preparation of the bid proposal and issuing invitation letters.

Japan is honored to host this prestigious event for the second time. The first edition held in Japan took place in Kyoto in 1989. We look forward to welcoming all participants to WCICC2029 in Kyoto.
