Sake Brewery Course: 40 minutes (Free)

The Nada area of Kobe is home to Japan's largest concentration of sake breweries. Sake making here boasts a 600-year history, and there are a number of museums dedicated to the history and methods of sake brewing. Many of them were housed in historic sake brewery buildings that were severely damaged by the 1995 Kobe earthquake, and have since been reconstructed. At various breweries, you can enjoy watching the sake brewing process, have a sake tasting, or do some sake-related souvenir shopping. You can even sample a sake that was once served at a Nobel Prize awards ceremony!
