Akita

Akita City is a core city with a population of approximately 300,000. It is located on the Sea of Japan side in the northern Tohoku region and is surrounded by nature. The city prospered as a castle town of the Satake Clan. The city’s efforts on both technical and organizational fronts have earned high praise nationally and internationally, including designation by the Ministry of Transportation in December 1994 as an “International Conference Tourism City.” With excellent sake, delicious food and beautiful seasonal scenery, the warm hospitality of Akita beauties beckons as the stage for your next convention. The members of the Akita Convention & Visitors Bureau will pour their hearts into acting as your local staff.
