Fujiyoshida

Fujiyoshida is a highland city (elevation: 750 m) situated at the northern base of Mt. Fuji, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Japan’s highest peak (elevation: 3,776 m). These informational tours of Mt. Fuji World Heritage constituent sites, officially authorized by Fujiyoshida City and Kitaguchihongu Fuji Sengenjinja Shrine, offer insight into Kamiyoshida area—a place rich with the culture of Mt. Fuji worship. Known as the home of oshi Shinto priests, Kamiyoshida area includes both Kitaguchihongu Fuji Sengenjinja Shrine and the historic Oshi Lodging House (Former Togawa Family Residence).
