Enjoy Matcha Green Tea at a Ryurei-style Japanese Tea Ceremony at the Kashoken Teahouse in Gifu Park
Gifu Park is located at the foot of Mt. Kinkazan and contains Kashoken, a teahouse where Ryurei-style Japanese tea ceremony is practiced. Visitors can enjoy an experience with matcha green tea as well as seasonal natural scenery.
Hands-on Experiences with Japanese Culture at an Ancient Japanese Temple and Traditional House
Gokuraku-ji Temple and Utsuboya, a 108-year-old machiya (traditional tradesman’s house), host Japanese tea ceremony, calligraphy writing, flower arrangement, kimono dressing and other hands-on experiences that expose visitors to the essence of Japanese culture. Gokuraku-ji Temple also offers hands-on experiences with pilgrims’ lodgings and vegetarian Buddhist cuisine.
