Matsuyama
Known as a city of hot springs, castles and literature— the historical Dogo Hot Spring, the oldest hot spring in Japan; Matsuyama Castle, with one of the 12 original castle towers still standing in Japan; and the inspirations for literary figures Masaoka Shiki, the founder of modern-day haiku, and Natsume Soseki, the author of Botchan. The city center features conference facilities, lodging facilities and tourist attractions, all accessible by streetcar for efficient, comfortable conventions. We offer various pre/post convention programs; among them are the Shimanami Kaido, a series of bridges that offer views of beautiful islands, and the Uchiko and Ozu areas with their preserved historical townscapes. As a city that lives and breathes hospitality for passing pilgrims, Matsuyama looks forward to hosting your next convention.
