Sapporo
Sapporo is a compact city that offers the perfect blend of magnificent nature and urban convenience, with an abundance of centrally located MICE facilities and hotels. The city was quick to join an international benchmarking program for environmental sustainability in 2016, and as a member of the GDS-Movement, is seeking to serve as an example of a sustainable city in the Asia-Pacific region. In these times when cities are required to shift their sole focus on economic outcome to also consider the significance of contributing to local communities, Sapporo is promoting itself on many fronts as a world-class meetings and events host city through efforts to develop unique venues, CSR programs and other original MICE offerings that can meet the needs of both event organizers and local communities.
