Front garden of the Miyazaki Prefectural Government Office Building
City: Miyazaki
The Miyazaki Prefectural Government Office Building, built more than 80 years ago, is the fourth oldest prefectural office of Japan and is the only pre-war prefectural office still remaining in Kyushu.
Built in a neo-Gothic style, it is said to have been influenced by the architecture of European castles and churches. There is a beautiful boulevard of camphor trees located nearby, as well as the Miyazaki Products Shop, home to a plentiful range of specialty items of the prefecture.
